The Africa Print Expo, a commercial digital print expo in Africa, will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre and will showcase the entire digital print process. Printing SA will be showcasing several activities at the 2017 exhibition event.
Exhibitors will include that of suppliers, manufacturers of commercial and digital printers, as well as finishing equipment, software, media, and consumables.
The Africa Print Expo, together with FESPA Africa, Sign Africa, and Africa LED will be housed in halls one, two, and three and will be open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Wednesday, 13 September to Friday, 15 September.
Steve Thobela, CEO of Printing SA, says, “This is the perfect vehicle to create excitement, while imparting knowledge within our industry, through the use of the key platforms to drive awareness about the sustainability and growth of the industry. Printing SA looks forward to being part of this initiative for the third year running, and is excited to be showcasing a multitude of activities aimed at ensuring the relevance of the print and packaging industry in years to come.”
The Printing SA FESPA Africa Print Expo will be showcasing the latest technological solutions for wide-format digital printing, screen printing, signage, textile printing, and garment design. Thr event is aimed at clothing designers, advertising agencies, those in the print and packaging industry, design students, as well as other synergetic industries.
The main activity highlighting the benefit of this relationship is the third annual Printing SA Africa Print Conference. The theme of the conference, which takes place in Gallagher 3 on Friday, 15 September, is ‘Dare to discover’.
“Topics have been selected to address current economic and industry trends, and provides insights into how attendees can diversify their businesses for continued growth and sustainability,” adds Thobela.
Speakers include Dr Nicholas Hellmuth from FLAAR Reports, Sean Holt from FESPA, and a panel discussion around business opportunities in Zambia hosted by a Zambian government delegation. Delegates will be offered the opportunity to ‘connect’ with the likes of Printing SA and FESPA’s executives, as well as conference guest speakers, during a networking lunch.
The cost of the half-day conference (registration from 08:00 with a conference start time of 09:00 to 13:00) is R530 for Printing SA members and R590 for non-members. Registration is open and seats are limited to 40 delegates.
As part of the Jamboree week of print, Printing SA will also be hosting the annual gala dinner on the evening of Wednesday, 13 September, which is themed ‘Madame Zingara’.
