We have back-up

Gallagher Convention Centre offers the facility of a full generator backup in all twenty-seven of our venues, to ensure that you do not have a problem when there is no power.

We base our strategy on the schedules provided anticipating load-shedding. The schedule provided determines our communication and planning with our organisers as it relates to possible outages and the impact it may have on their event.

A Client may choose to incur a cost by deciding to run the entire event off our generator despite the utility power still being available, to avoid any interruption to their event. In a case where a client prefers to run their event on the generator, rather than out of necessity during load-shedding, a cost is worked out at an hourly rate.

Our Generators offer a complete backup to our facility, this means that;

  • The full venue infrastructure run off generators including our kitchens
  • Our heating/cooling systems run off our generators
  • The event technical can run off our generators

We strive to deal with the challenges of load shedding as effectively and with as little inconvenience to our organisers and their guests as possible.

We make use of well trained, certified, friendly, efficient and helpful staff that will assist in any situation and will provide direct information on any queries. All Seriti Security Services staff are dressed in full, visible branded uniform and are equipped with two-way radios, for fast and effective problem-solving.

 

Seriti Security Services provides event stewards at entrances, loading bays, emergency exits, as well as floor patrol minders.

Gallagher Disaster Management Division

Gallagher Convention Centre has a disaster management division tasked with ensuring that the legal requirements are met for all events. The Gallagher Disaster Management division will be able to provide you with a complete disaster management solution at a very competitive price, no matter the format or size of your event. These services include floor plan evaluation and comment, JOC file compilation and submission as well as designer stand plan submission. Our disaster management division will facilitate EMS inspections, communicate any issues that might arise and assist with the formulation of solutions for issues that were identified. This service includes an onsite safety officer for the duration of the event.
