Gallagher Convention Centre will welcome thousands of local and international visitors when Jehovah’s Witnesses host their 2026 International Convention, themed “Eternal Happiness,” from 28 to 30 August 2026.
The free three-day event is expected to attract approximately 20,000 attendees daily, including 6,000 international visitors from over 35 countries. As one of the largest non-profit convention organizers globally, Jehovah’s Witnesses are bringing significant international attention to Gauteng through this major gathering.
The convention is projected to generate more than R200 million in economic activity for South Africa, with international visitors expected to spend at least two weeks exploring the country.
The programme will focus on practical Bible-based principles that promote lasting happiness and hope. Attendees will enjoy a variety of talks, interviews, and video presentations, including sessions such as “Abundant Happiness Forever – Is It Realistic?”, “Why Are You Anxious?” and “Have You Discovered the Treasure?”
A highlight of the convention will be the debut of Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of The Good News According to Jesus, a video series based on the Gospel accounts of Jesus Christ. The Saturday programme will also feature a baptism segment.
