Bio360 Africa is a first-of-its-kind event for Africa.
Designed to accelearate deployment and help position bioenergy and the wider bioeconomy as major pillars within Africa’s energy mix and circular economy, Bio360 Africa’s primary role is to connect bioresource and biomass owners and handlers with technology and service providers, project developers, offtakers, financiers, carbon-market actors, public bodies and policymakers.
Built on more than 20 years of experience of dedicated bioenergy/bioeconomy event organisation in Europe under its flagship event, Bio360 Europe, from the outset Bio360 Africa’s inaugural edition provides a practical, business-focused platform where agricultural, forestry, wood-processing, municipal and industrial residues are viewed not as waste streams, but as valuable resources capable of generating energy, renewable gas, fuels, biopower, bioheat, biochar, carbon value and circular economic opportunities.
The event brings together the full ecosystem required to move projects from concept to implementation. It is designed to facilitate partnerships, technology transfer, investment discussions and market development across multiple sectors including biogas and biomethane, clean cooking, biomass-to-energy, pellets and solid biofuels, liquid biofuels (for road, sea and air), biohydrogen, bioCO2, biochar, energy-from-waste, bioenergy carbon capture and utilisation and carbon removal pathways.
Bio360 Africa also aims to help African stakeholders address some of the continent’s most pressing challenges: energy security, waste management, soil health and agricultural productivity, rural development, industrial decarbonisation and climate resilience. By creating direct connections between feedstock holders, solution providers and finance, the platform seeks to unlock scalable, locally adapted and commercially viable projects.
More than an exhibition or conference, Bio360 Africa is intended as a catalyst for the African biotransition – helping transform underused bioresources into practical infrastructure, resilient value chains and long-term economic opportunity.
